OnePlus, one of the fastest growing smartphone companies out there today announced that it would be giving away 6000 complimentary movie tickets for its Indian community to watch the Avengers: Infinity War movie which is scheduled for a grand release on April 27. For the unaware, OnePlus also ran such promotion last year for the Star Wars: The Last Jedi for the OnePlus 5T smartphone. And this collaboration with Marvel Studios is for the OnePlus 6 smartphone, which is going to be launched very soon. Interested users can purchase the tickets by heading over to Paytm later this week. OnePlus community members across cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune and Ahmedabad, can avail the tickets.
OnePlus says that the "movie is a first of several unique engagements planned for the OnePlus community to celebrate the association with Disney, giving OnePlus users one more reason to come together and enjoy the much-awaited movie."
There are a couple of steps involved to be part of the 6000 members to win the movie tickets. Firstly, a user has to visit the oneplus.in and register their OnePlus IMEI number (If the user already registered the IMEI number earlier, they can skip this step entirely). After registering the IMEI number, users will be asked to choose the city and click ‘Get It’ button, which will generate the ticket coupon code, depending on the availability.
Once the ticket coupon code gets generated, head over to digital payments site Paytm and select from the available shows and complete the checkout process. During the checkout process on Paytm, Re 1 would be charged as token processing fee towards the complimentary snacks including popcorn and a cold drink with every movie ticket and will be given as cashback, post the transaction.
OnePlus users can watch the Avengers: Infinity War, at the following theatres across ten cities in India - PVR Icon Infiniti Mall Versova Mumbai, PVR Pune Market City (Pune), PVR Kukatpally Forum Mall (Hyderabad), PVR Elante Mall (Chandigarh), PVR Ampa Mall (Chennai), Cinemax Mani Square Mall (Kolkata), PVR DLF Mall of India (Delhi NCR), PVR Forum Mall (Bangalore) and PVR Lulu Mall (Kochi), PVR Acropolis (Ahmedabad).
OnePlus is also expected to release a special Avengers edition OnePlus 6 in the coming days, but the launch date of the smartphone is not yet revealed.
