OnePlus somehow (err not entirely) managed to meet its year-end deadline for rolling out official Android Nougat 7.0 based OxygenOS 4.0 to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. Last year, the company promised to roll out stable Nougat update for the smartphones.
The company's co-founder, Carl Pei took to Twitter and OnePlus Forum for announcing the official rollout of the update on December 31. It is an incremental update, which means OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users will be getting in a phase-wise manner. We expect the update to hit most of the devices in the coming weeks. The Oxygen 4.0 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat not Android 7.1 Nougat.
This is what we're releasing today: 1) Open Beta 1 (Nougat) for OP3T. This is already live on our forums.

2) Android N stable OTA for the OP3 and the OP3T. Gradual rollout will begin later tonight.
