OnePlus this year launched its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 6. Now with the fall season approaching, OnePlus has been expected to launch a OnePlus 6T device like it has been doing for its OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5T in the past years. Undoubtedly, the new phone will be expected to come with some improvements over the previous device. Although there won’t be any significant changes like it’s the case with other ‘T’ version phones by OnePlus, the OnePlus 6T will carry some developments which will be more apparent to the eye than others. Below we have listed five improvements which might be spotted on the yet to be announced OnePlus 6T.
Pop Up Front Camera Minus the Notch
Given that OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo are all brands owned by BBK Electronics and R&D exchange between all the three companies is quite common, there is a chance that OnePlus 6 might become the game changer in this regard by sporting a pop-up front camera and a truly full-screen display.
OnePlus 6 was the first phone by OnePlus to fully embrace the glass front and back in its entirety. It was expected that OnePlus would enable the wireless charging on the device. However, it seems that OnePlus 6T might be the device which will eventually come with Wireless Charging support.
Proper Water Resistance
Another gap between the premium phones by Samsung, Apple and OnePlus is the absence of ingress protection certificate. The OnePlus 6 was declared to be merely splash proof, in its next iteration, the OnePlus 6T is expected to come with an IP67 and IP68 rating meaning that the new phone will be truly waterproof. Some teardowns of the phone also reveal an impressive number of gaskets and rubber seals hinting towards this direction.
Last time with the OnePlus 5T, the OEM did not ship a battery improvement in the device. However, a year before that, the OnePlus 3T did come with a 400mAh improvement over the OnePlus 3. Now with the OnePlus 6T, the manufacturer might again ship in an improved battery. Although there might not be a significant bump in battery life, it is expected to please the OnePlus 6T buyers.
With the last Developer Beta version approaching completion, and the OnePlus 6T expected to launch in November we feel there is ample time for the OnePlus development team to shape the Android P stock experience into the OxygenOS. Keeping that in mind there is a chance that OnePlus 6T will come with Android P.
