OnePlus 5T is appearing on the web every single day, and that too revealing some new information about the smartphone. And today's leak comes from GFXBench, one of the top benchmark services for Android OS. The OnePlus 5T with model number A5010 paid a visit to GFXBench which revealed key specifications of the smartphone.
The OnePlus 5T, as it was rumoured all these days is confirmed to feature a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will come in two RAM and storage options- 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB option.
However, the surprising part is that OnePlus will release the 5T with Android Nougat itself, and not Android 8.0 Oreo. OnePlus did the same with OnePlus 3T as well last year. The Chinese company might release an Android Oreo Open Beta program for the OnePlus 5 and 5T by the end of 2017. Already, Android Oreo Open Beta program is out for OnePlus 3 and 3T.
Coming back to the GFXBench listing, the OnePlus 5T will feature a better 20MP front-facing camera, as opposed to the 16MP shooter seen on the OnePlus 5. Furthermore, the 5T is expected to have a 16MP rear camera as per the listing, but previous reports suggested that it will come with two 20MP sensors- one standard RGB sensor and another 20MP sensor with a telephoto lens. OnePlus founders are already teasing the Portrait mode shots of the OnePlus 5T.
The 5T is also expected to come with a bigger battery, possibly the company will use a 3600mAh unit. The OnePlus 5 is already the best battery smartphone available in the market, and a bigger battery on the 5T will be an added advantage. The price of the OnePlus 5T is also expected to be a tad higher than the OnePlus 5, maybe at $499 for the 64GB model and Rs. 34,999 in India.
OnePlus is expected to launch the smartphone on November 16, but there's no official media invite yet. We will keep you posted once there's an official invite from the company.
