OnePlus teased its latest OnePlus 3T for quite some time before making it official. The OnePlus 3T is an enhanced version of the OnePlus 3 with improvements in various segments such as camera, storage, battery, processor, and more. Other than these modifications, the OnePlus 3T bears the same design and build as the OnePlus 3. The phone is priced at $439 (Rs. 29,999) for the 64GB storage variant and $479 (?31,999) for the 128GB storage variant. It will be available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold colour options.
The OnePlus 3T comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi, Gorilla Glass 4 protection and anodised aluminium unibody just like the OnePlus 3. However, the OnePlus 3T is more powerful as it features 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, which is faster and efficient. The device comes in two storage variants - 64GB and 128GB. It also sports a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into the Home button.
In comparison to OnePlus 3's 8-megapixel front camera, the OnePlus 3T comes with a 16-megapixel front camera, which is integrated with Samsung 3P8SP sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording. There is a 16-megapixel rear camera onboard with the latest Sony IMX298 camera sensor, f/2.0 aperture, phase-detection autofocus, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), EIS, 720p video recording at 120fps, support for saving RAW image, and 4K video recording at 30fps
We expected the OnePlus 3T to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, but it comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Oxygen OS. However, OnePlus promised Nougat update for the device within a couple of months. For connectivity, the OnePlus 3T supports dual-SIM, 4G LTE (Cat. 6), dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, USB 2.0 with Type-C port, Google Cast, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Bluetooth 4.2 (with LE), and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 3,400mAh battery backs the device with OnePlus's in-house Dash Charge (5V, 4A) rapid charging technology.
