oneplus 13 launch date and design officially

OnePlus 13, the next flagship smartphone from OnePlus is now making its way to the China market. The launch will take place on October 31, 2024, and its design has also been confirmed. Take a look at the image above to check how it looks. There are three colourways - white, black and a sort of bluish variant (which looks amazing and refreshing). The device no longer has a curved screen. OnePlus has adopted what Apple, Samsung and Google have done with their flagships, which is to go with a flat-screen. The era of flat screens is truly back and how!

The device is confirmed to feature a BOE X2 display with a local refresh rate feature. Compared to the OnePlus 12, there should be many new advancements and features. Firstly, a better battery life due to the reportedly larger battery of 6000mAh that the device is expected to come with. Then, you should see a better performance over the previous generation owing to the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. The camera module is no longer on the left corner bleeding to the edge. It has now shifted slightly towards the center but is not exactly in the center.

Whether this design change to the camera module was done to enhance photos or just because OnePlus wanted a fresh look for its phone is unknown. The camera layout is similar to what we have been seeing from OnePlus 11. After its launch in China later this month, the device is expected to launch in India and other global markets around January 2024. Under the hood, the device is expected to feature up to 24GB of RAM. Whether this decision is to boost on-device AI performance or whether it is just to make the device flashy is unknown at the moment.
