Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco are Now Available for Purchase in India

As it was announced during the launch, HMD Global has now made the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco available for the Indian consumers. The Nokia 7 Plus can be picked up from Amazon India while Flipkart exclusively sells the flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco. Also, HMD Global will be selling both the phones through its Nokia Shop and offline stores across the country. The mid-range Nokia 7 Plus is priced at Rs 25,999, whereas the Nokia 8 Sirocco will set back the user by Rs 49,999. Talking about the launch offers, with the 7 Plus, telecom operator Airtel is offering Rs 2,000 cashback after 36 months; users can also avail 10% cashback on ICICI credit & debit cards; free Airtel TV subscription until December 31, 2018. On the other hand, with the 8 Sirocco, Airtel is offering 120GB of additional data & free Airtel TV subscription until December 31, 2018. The Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco were announced earlier this month at an event on April 4 alongside the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 1. The Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 1 are already available for the consumers, whereas HMD started pre-orders for the 7 Plus and 8 Sirocco from April 20.

The Nokia 7 Plus is one of the most anticipated mid-range smartphones of 2018, and it’s worth saying that the phone is the best one in its price range. The 7 Plus packs stellar hardware for its asking price of Rs 25,999. It has a gorgeous design, solid build quality, excellent 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display, powerful Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM, dual rear cameras of a 12MP primary sensor and 13MP secondary sensor, capable 16MP selfie shooter, 3800mAh battery and of course it’s topped by Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco also comes with a gorgeous design and slim bezels on the front, even though the company used a 16:9 display. The Sirocco sports a 5.5-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It also runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, but the letdown for the device is the Snapdragon 835 SoC. With Snapdragon 845 SoC powered OnePlus 6 going to launch on May 17 in India, it will be interesting to see how the Nokia 8 Sirocco performs.

The 8 Sirocco also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with no support for storage expansion. Also, it’s a single-SIM smartphone, which could be a letdown for many users. The phone offers a primary 12MP camera at the back paired with a secondary 13MP sensor. There’s a 5MP shooter on the front as well. This phone has a 3260mAh battery and measures 7.5mm in thickness.

Are you picking up the Nokia 7 Plus or Nokia 8 Sirocco?

Chakri is a go-to guy for your next smartphone recommendation. Back in his engineering days, he used to play with smartphones by installing custom ROMs and that passion got him into the tech industry. He still goes nuts about a smartphone knocking his door for review. Currently managing everything at Telecom Talk, Chakri is trying to master PUBG Mobile in his free time.

So 50k for a last year’s processor? Your call man but for 50k you have much better options. Wait for 3 weeks and get OnePlus 6 for 10-15k less with blazing fast snapdragon 845 and timely Android updates. I’m still using OnePlus 3 still very fast and up to date. And also for 50k you can get Pixel 2 as well. Nokia 7 Plus is a great option but again overshadowed by OnePlus 5 which has 835 (same as your siroco) vs 660 on identical price

Hope you make use of the exchange offers, discount and no cost emi and get the phone at low rate instead of the 50K price tag.

I will be picking Nokia 8 (2017) version, as it looks better in design and specs
