While there have been a number of leaks including from China’ TENAA, a new Geekbench benchmark confirms some of the specifications. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.21GHz. The results also revealed the device comes with 4GB of RAM and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The Geekbench specs are essentially in line with previous TENAA listing, including the model number.

Nokia 6 (2018) Launch
HMD Global may launch Nokia 6 even sooner than expected as per latest reports. As per a teaser posted by Chinese retailer Suning, the 2018’s Nokia 6 will be unveiled within three days from now. An image posted on official Suning Weibo account made up of Nokia phones, asks the audience to wait for three days before Nokia 6 will be announced. As per the teaser, we can expect Nokia 6 on launch on January 5.

Nokia 6 (2018) Specifications
A smartphone with same model number TA-1054 was spotted on Chinese regulatory website last month. As per the information available on TENAA, the Nokia 6 (2018) has an octa-core processor with four cores running a clock speed of 2.2GHz and other four cores at 1.9GHz paired with 4GB RAM, which is now confirmed to be the Snapdragon 630 SoC.

Other than that HMD Global has retained most of its predecessor’s features. The device (2018) sports same 5.5-inch TFT display with FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. This is in contrast to some earlier reports that hoped the device would come with trendy 18:9 full-screen display.

The online listing also revealed the device will sport same camera module as the first-gen model. There is a 16MP CMOS camera sensor on the rear of the device, while an 8MP sensor adorns the front panel. The fingerprint sensor, however, has been relocated to the back panel unlike front facing one on the 2017 iteration.

The Nokia 6 will again feature the same 3000mAh battery as its predecessor. The detailed TENAA listing indicates the device will come in three colour options - White, Black, and Blue. There will two storage options as well a 32GB and a 64GB version. Also, the device will support up to 128GB expansion via microSD card support in hybrid dual-SIM configuration. As for connectivity options, Nokia 6 will come with 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB support.
