The company has confirmed to launch the Nokia X71 on April 2 in Taiwan. It is expected that at the same event HMD Global will launch the Nokia 9 PureView formally. Ahead of the launch, rumours and leaks have revealed a lot of details about the Nokia X71. The Nokia X71 is said to come with a punch-hole display like the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. This means this Nokia phone will have no notch on its screen.
Nokia X71 Is HMD’s First Punch-Hole Display Phone
The Nokia X71 will be the first ever Nokia phone to come with a punch-hole display. In addition to the punch-hole display, another highlight of the Nokia X71 is the 48MP camera on the back panel. The Nokia X71 is said to come with a primary camera of 48MP similar to the V15 Pro, Oppo F11 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Honor View 20 and others. The camera of the Nokia X71 will use ZEISS lens like the past Nokia phones. It is reported that the 48MP main camera will be coupled with a secondary 120-degree super wide-angle camera. As of now, there are no other details revealed about the Nokia X71 camera yet.
Nokia X71 May Debut as Nokia 8.1 Plus Globally
Some rumours suggest that the Nokia X71 will debut as Nokia 8.1 Plus in global markets. Considering India is a key market for Nokia it is expected that the Nokia X71 will come to India as Nokia 8.1 Plus. It is said that the Nokia X71 and the global variant – Nokia 8.1 Plus – will be slightly different from one another. To recollect the Nokia 8.1 was launched as the X7 in October last year.
The Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to come with a dual rear camera system on the back panel, unlike the Nokia X71 that includes three cameras on the back. Past rumours and leaks had suggested that the Nokia 8.1 Plus will come with a 6.22-inch Full HD+ display. The Nokia 8.1 Plus is said to be a mid-range smartphone and it will succeed the Nokia 8.1 which was launched in December last year.
