Nokia X6 Support Page Goes Live on Indian Website, Launch Imminent

There have been countless rumours about HMD Global making the Nokia X6 available in global markets and it now seems like we don’t have to wait much for the official launch. The support page for the Nokia X6 has gone official on the Nokia India website, hinting at the imminent launch of the smartphone. Earlier today, the smartphone was briefly listed on Nokia’s international website as well, which means the phone will be launched in other markets too. At the moment, the Nokia X6 is available only in China. Right after the launch in China, Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global conducted a poll on Twitter about the global launch of the Nokia X6. Without any surprise, a whopping 94% people voted that the device should be launched in international markets.

So the launch of the Nokia X6 in global markets has been confirmed partially with that Twitter poll, but when is it going to launch? Well, with this listing, we can now assume that the Nokia X6 should be launched in India in a matter of few weeks. Maybe, HMD Global will launch the smartphone in the sub-continent alongside other devices such as the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1.

The Nokia X6 was the first device from HMD sporting a notched display. The phone arrived with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and boasts up to 6GB of RAM. Internal storage in the Nokia X6 extends up to 64GB, and the device even has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

HMD Global has added a 16MP camera to the back of the phone which works in tandem with a 5MP depth sensor. A 16MP shooter is present on the front. The global version of the Nokia X6 will boot stock Android 8.1 Oreo. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side. The device is backed by a 3060mAh battery with fast charging support.

The Nokia X6, in India, could be priced between Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 because the Nokia 7 Plus is retailing for Rs 25,999 and the Nokia 6.1 is available at Rs 18,999 (4GB RAM variant). The starting price of the Nokia X6 could be Rs 20,999 for the base variant and it might extend up to Rs 23,999 for the premium variant.

I don’t think they will price this phone at 20k, i think they will price it at 14k or 15k for the base variant 4gb + 32gb, because even in china nokia x6 price is less than the price of nokia 6(2018).
If it is priced at 14k or 15k then many will buy nokia x6 instead of redmi note 5 pro for stock android and timely updates that nokia promised.

People will prefer Redmi Note 5 Pro over this phone for sure!!!!!Asus Zenfone 5 is big letdown in battery camera !!!!!Xiaomi Mi A2(Chinese version) doesn’t have headphone jack and memory card which is big letdown(I hope only two variants come in India for 16-18K and 20-22K!!!!!Nokia should have launched their first iterations of Android comeback with Snapdragon 625 at 15000 but they missed chance!!!!! Even though they are good at updates and build quality who will buy their products at high prices!!!!!Nokia 6.1 is great photos except camera but at that price point it’s no,just no!!!!! Let’s see what other… Read more »

If it is this price bcz of some other product price then it will fail. It has to be equal to China pricing. First Nokia need a successful phone to boast their brand. Next comes quality and updates with the initial buyers….so they prefer Nokia next time even it’s priced higher…..what’s happening to Nokia is in first place it is loosing to redmi and other aggressively priced phones. So user never understand difference of Nokia to others. This x series phone at an aggressive pricing help to raise their brand value in future. Now userbase is important than profits.
