The world’s largest mobile phone maker -Nokia- has unveiled its "Music Store Service" in India. Nokia Music Store will offers over three million Hollywood and Bollywood (international and Hindi) Film and regional soundtracks across all genres.
Consumers can experience Nokia Music store (http://music.nokia.co.in) via inbox vouchers included in all XpressMusic handsets and select N-series & and E-series devices such as N97, N86, N76, N85, N86, N91, E71, E63 and others. Nokia has tied up with international music labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music, EMI and Warner and Indian music labels like T-Series, YashRaj Music, Saregama (HMV), BIG Music and Venus.
The company has also partnered with Indian Music Industry (IMI), a consortium of over 150 Music companies, to give consumers an opportunity to discover and enjoy their favorite music on the go across genres and languages.
Nokia has also signed up with GIRI and Phone tunes for access to South India and North regional content respectively.
The "Nokia Music Store" will have the most diverse portfolios of content, covering 20 genres and almost 90 per cent of the local music in India. Moreover, with game changing solutions like the distribution of music redemption vouchers, improved user experience and the co-operation of our vendor partners, the Music Store will revolutionize the music industry. Nokia's Music consumers are given variety of options to choose from for downloading the content. The services are offered with an ‘on-device’ client allowing users to download the content over air or use a PC client.
