2018 has been a great year for HMD Global. The Finland based smartphone company launched a range of Nokia phones, the recent one being the Nokia 7.1. However, it seems like HMD is prepping to launch another phone to the Nokia fans. Although there are no official details about the phone, reports suggest that it could be the Nokia 8.1 Plus, which will succeed the recently launched Nokia 7.1. The Nokia 7.1 Plus hasn’t been launched in India yet. It looks like HMD Global could be skipping the 7.1 Plus and instead bring the Nokia 8.1 to India. The company took to Twitter and posted about the coming of a new phone to the country. HMD via Nokia Mobile India Twitter handle posted “The picture’s about to get rosy with an epic viewing experience. Get ready to #ExpectMore.”

Although the company didn’t specifically mention the name of the device, several media reports claim that the phone could be the Nokia 8.1. Meanwhile, the company is also said to be working on another premium phone, Nokia 9 PureView.
Nokia 8.1 May Launch in a Lush Red Color
“The picture’s about to get rosy with an epic viewing experience. Get ready to #ExpectMore” – this post indirectly indicates that the upcoming Nokia phone could be launching in Lush Red colour. The rumoured Nokia 8.1 could be an upgraded version of the Nokia 7.1. The Nokia 7.1, to recall, was launched with a 6.18-inch Full HD+ screen paired with PureDisplay technology. Comparatively, the Nokia 8.1 is said to come with a bigger and better screen in order to deliver an improved multimedia experience to the users. As of now, not much is known about Nokia 8.1.
