After launching the Nokia 4.2 with Snapdragon 439 chipset, HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones today announced the Nokia 3.2 handset. The Nokia 3.2 is a smartphone aimed at users looking for a big display and stock Android on budget. The Nokia 3.2 also has a dedicated hardware button for triggering Google Assistant and it even has the notification LED light embedded into the power button. Like its sibling, the Nokia 3.2 will also be exclusive to the offline market in India and the prices of the phone start at Rs 8,990. The phone comes in two colour options- Black or Steel and it can be purchased via retail stores from May 23.




Nokia 3.2: Specifications and Features

The Nokia 3.2 sports a big 6.26-inch HD+ display which is accompanied by a massive 4000mAh battery that's rated to deliver two days of battery life on a single charge. While the 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage variant of the phone is priced at Rs 8,990, the 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant would cost Rs 10,790. Internally, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 chipset which also supports Dual VoLTE. Notably, it's the same chipset Xiaomi is expected to use on the Redmi 7A.

"From biometric face unlock and AI-powered features like 'Adaptive Battery' to a more modern and personal way to interact with your smartphone through the dedicated Google Assistant button, you won't be held back by the Nokia 3.2," said Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head-India, HMD Global.

Like other Nokia phones, the Nokia 3.2 also boots Android 9 Pie out of the box with guaranteed major Android updates and monthly security patches. According to HMD Global, the Nokia 3.2 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two major OS updates, as guaranteed in the Android One programme.

On the rear side, the Nokia 3.2 has a single camera of 13MP with f/2.2 aperture, and on the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera for video calls. The phone measures 8.6mm in thickness and is constructed entirely out of plastic.

Nokia 3.2: Availability, Launch Offers and Other Details

The smartphone is available in black and steel colour variants in top mobile retail outlets across India and on Nokia's website from May 23. The base variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage is priced at Rs 8,990, while the 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage model costs Rs 10,990.

As for the launch offers, Vodafone and Idea subscribers will receive Rs 2,500 instant cashback in the form of 50 vouchers of Rs 50 each. These vouchers can be redeemed on a recharge of Rs 199 and above in the future.

Furthermore, customers purchasing the Nokia 3.2 using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards on EMI and regular transactions done through Pinelabs terminals in offline stores will receive a 10% cashback. Lastly, there's a unique offer for consumers purchasing the Nokia 3.2 from Nokia.com/phones; While purchasing the handset on Nokia's offline website, they can use promo code 'LAUNCHGIFT' which will entitle them for a gift card worth Rs 1,000 and also a free one-time screen replacement covered under Nokia phone screen protection insurance for a six-month period.
