A slide from an Oppo training presentation seems to have leaked online, divulging some of the key specifications of the upcoming Oppo A77 smartphone. The A77 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone, and the leaked slide suggests that the phone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC.
Even for a mid-range device, the choice of the processor is surprising as it is more than a year old and there are plenty of mid-range smartphones in the market offering latest and top of the range specs, including the same chipset. The said chipset comes with a built-in Adreno 506 GPU for graphics processing.
The spec-sheet in the images also shows that the A77 will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display and will run on the Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The device is expected to pack 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. Other revealed specifications include a 3,200mAh battery.
Although the price of the Oppo A77 has not been leaked yet, we will soon find out the pricing of the phone when the device is going to be officially launched in the next few weeks. However, a few previous leaks hinted at the possible retail price of the A77 being placed around the price point of 2,299 Yuan (approximately Rs. 21,851).
Since this is just an early stage, we can expect a series of further possible leaks in the coming weeks to give us more information on the phone, before the Oppo A77’s official release. Just a few days ago, the Oppo A77 poster had surfaced online, showing two possible colour variants of the device. In addition to the colour variants of Black and Gold, the poster image also helped us get a fair estimation of the phone’s external build.
Going by the poster, we see a volume rocker situated to the left-hand side of the handset while the power/lock button is placed on the opposite side. The rear camera and flash ensemble was found on the upper left portion of the device’s back panel. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed below the display screen on the front.
When it comes to the rest of the specifications, The Oppo A77 is rumoured to sport a dual camera setup on the rear with a 16MP primary sensor plus a 13MP secondary sensor. The device is expected to be dual SIM compatible and will most likely come with standard connectivity options such as the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Type-C USB port.
As for the availability of the device, if and when the Oppo A77 will be globally launched, only then can we confirm its availability in international markets including in India.
