Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has revised its popular SMS special tariff voucher STV30 in Delhi circle. The STV30 was earlier offering 600 local and 400 STD SMS for 30 days, now the revised STV30 is offering 200 local and 100 STD SMS for same validity period.
The revision is confirmed by MTNL customer care, though still it is not updated on MTNL's website.
The revision in SMS packs is common approach by most mobile operators due to TDSAT's order of SMS termination charge at 5p/SMS. Recently TRAI came up with a regulation which says SMS termination charge will be 2p/SMS.
