Motorola recently received the title of being the fifth-biggest smartphone company in the world. The company made its comeback in the Indian market by partnering with the e-commerce giant Flipkart. It launched five smartphones, Moto G, Moto X, Moto E, second-generation Moto G and Moto X since its return to the Indian shores. The reason behind Motorola’s sudden rise can be duly credited to its budget phones such as Moto G and the Moto E. Most of the Motorola smartphones run stock Android with minimal additions which delivers smooth performance and speedy updates.

The top slot sale of Motorola made companies like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava to slash the price of their devices and to enhance the hardware specifications. However, it proved to be limited glory for Motorola, as it was slammed with a stiff competition from the Chinese rival Xiaomi, which also offered high-end specifications at even lower price. Xiaomi sold whooping 800,000 handsets in less than five months and its rising popularity is causing a stir in Motorola’s happiness.
