Microsoft Lumia 535 launched in India for Rs. 9,199 with some launch offers

After announcing their first self-branded Windows Phone device earlier this month, Microsoft has launched the Lumia 535 in India today. Priced at Rs. 9,199, the Microsoft Lumia 535 will be available in stores starting November 28. It can be seen as a successor to the Nokia Lumia 525, which was announced last year and launched in India in January 2014.

Microsoft has also announced following launch offers for the buyers of the Lumia 535.

  • eBooks from Flipkart worth Rs. 1,500
  • Free BoxTV subscription for two months, worth Rs. 7,20
  • Vodafone users will get 500MB of data for free for the first two months
  • Shopping of worth Rs. 6000 on Jabong valid for the first three months
  • Free recharge of Rs. 150 per month via PayTM app for the first four months

It is an entry-level Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone with a 5-inch qHD IPS LCD display, a 5-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, and a dual SIM card slots. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with Adreno 302 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, and a microSD card slot. It comes with 15GB of free cloud storage on OneDrive and a 1,905 mAh battery.

Xiaomi is offering better value for money but here comes the catch, when your device is faulty or has any damage. Service centers are rare and the service cost is high ..
Xiaomi after sales is yet to grow so going for other brands is the safest bet.

I don’t agree..may be you need updated configuration for Andriod. Windows will run smoothly on any configuration..

See the reviews of redmi 1s..you can use that mobile as Iron Box, Water heater, etc
I am expecting the same for note too.. Funny 🙂

Dude, U will never understand how beautiful Windows Phone OS is … Xiaomi and such companies might offer decent configuration but what about quality and future OS updates ? Where as all Windows Phone 8 devices are currently enjoying Windows Phone 8.1 and also going to rock with Windows 10 when its available. I am personally using Windows Phone since around 8 months and my next phone will be Windows Phone from Microsoft . Also about performance u better compare an Android device with 1 GB RAM with any Windows Phone with 512 MB RAM e.g Nokia Lumia 520 ,620,720… Read more »

Windows 8 work flawlessly on mediocore processor so does that mean even in 2016 you will say wao a New Windows 9 phone with same dual core processor ?I agree windows 8 phone works fine but they need to upgrade hardware to compete with Android . This processor is toooo outdated. Even a lumia 830 has quad core 400 processor that Moto g had and priced around 28K ? isn’t this stupid ? just for gimmick lumia camera that to No Support for Indian 4G. totally agreed. even in 512MB RAM the phone runs like a butter. Once, u shift to Windows, never ever come back to Android. sure. 🙂
