The device was successful in garnering rapt attention from the consumers and 150,000 units of the device have been sold so far. Taking a cue from the response that the phone received, Micromax has decided to put it on open sale on Flipkart. All the customers who somehow missed buying it earlier through flash sales can now own it easily through the open sale. To recap, the Canvas Xpress 2 comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M chipset paired with 1GB of RAM.

In the connectivity department, it supports dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery.
