Another dumb phone from micromax unite2 and others with so called 8G ROM. I can’t understand how it has become a market leader (sosompeople say) by fooling people in the name of 4GB/8GB ROM.
Like unite2 this too has 5GB usable (as internal SD Card) out of 8GB there by leaving less than 1GB for app installation which will further reduce after new ROM (Lollipop) thereby leaving even lesser space for app updates/installation.
I will recmmend Android ones of 1st generation which are available at Rs 3999 at various sites.

You are right … dskushwaha .

I am also facing same issue with my Xolo Q1010i ….

app memory is too low .. now if you have 20+ apps in phone it’s pathetic to unlock by pattern …. 🙁

I took it by seeing 8gb internal ….

now I changed to infocus M530 inbuild 16GB where user can use almost 12 gb direct for apps

And the reviewers / OEM don’t mention this most important thing. They always flaunt 8GB, 16GB internal memory. Who needs an internal SD Card carved out of internal memory when you can get 16GB SD card at 400-500 Rs.
It must be made compulsory to mention app memory for the OEM/ reviewer.

Yes, I know. One needs to root and link/bind one folder to another. Lucky patcher is one such app for this. You will void the warranty by doing so.
But my question is aren’t 1st fist generation android with almost 2.3 GB (out of 4GB ROM) much better and easier to use (for any person including a layman) than these problematic sets with high specifications. Doesn’t the developer of the ROM know how much system memory will be required for future app installation/ update and system updates?
