Micromax has revealed the Android 5.0 Lollipop update release timeline for Unite 2 smartphone in India. It will be an over-the-air (OTA) update, which will be initiated on April 7, 2015.
It will be automatically available on the Unite 2 devices, but, in order to start it manually, users will be required to go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. The company has not yet shared any information regarding change-log for the update. However, we can expect the general Lollipop changes, such as, better UI , improved notifications, enhanced performance, longer battery-life, and many more.
Micromax has also announced that the Unite 2 is one of their most successful device. The company has sold over 1.5 million units of the phone within a year from its launch.
Micromax said in its press release, “Launched with the aim to remove the language barrier in the country, Unite 2 was the world’s first phone with 21 languages support. The sale figure of the smartphone highlights the need of our masses for a more efficient technological experience which gives them the freedom to communicate through their phones in the comfort of their native language,”
