Liquid Intelligent to Distribute Globalstar XCOM RAN 5G access Solution in Africa, MEA and Gulf
Liquid Intelligent Technologies (Liquid), a business of Cassava Technologies, has partnered with American connectivity provider Globalstar to deliver advanced 5G connectivity across Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf. This partnership grants Liquid exclusive rights in these three regions to sell and distribute Globalstar's XCOM RAN private networks 5G access solution.

Support for Mining

Liquid says this technology enhances 5G services, supports AI-driven applications, and empowers the mining industry in Africa, as well as high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf regions.

"With this technology, we can now provide large businesses, such as mines, with their own 5G private networks that also enable NextGen services like AI. This is a significant advancement," said Liquid Intelligent Technologies.

Customer Support and Potential Expansion

Liquid will provide customer support for Globalstar's products and services, including technical support and warranty services. The collaboration also includes potential expansion into Globalstar’s satellite, Band n53 spectrum, and IoT solutions on a non-exclusive basis, the official release said.

Globalstar added, "Our 5G XCOM RAN product fundamentally differs from traditional wireless solutions, enabling mission-critical, high-performance wireless applications. Combining XCOM RAN with the globally licensed Globalstar n53 midband spectrum creates a unique offering for private and enterprise 5G networks."

Together, Liquid and Globalstar will accelerate the deployment of advanced wireless technology in Africa, the Middle East, and Gulf regions.
