LG G7 Specifications and Renders Leaked Online

The LG G7, which was allegedly said to have cancelled is now back in the news as a new poster of the smartphone has spotted online. The ad poster, as you can see in the image is spotted at the LG MWC booth. Alongside this poster, complete specifications of the smartphone have leaked online along with the purported release date. The LG G7 will arrive in June 2018 carrying flagship specifications and stunning design. Let's speak about that design first. The poster leaked shows the G7 in green colour with a notch on the front. The green coloured G7 looks stunning, but it's sad to see LG copying design from other brands. Being a top-tier brand, we expect LG to come out with its own design, however, it seems like manufacturers are left only with the notch to give more real estate. There's a noticeable chin that houses the LG branding.

To the back, we get the dual camera setup and dual LED flash enclosed in a module. Below the camera module, there's a fingerprint scanner, and the phone seems to be sporting glass body.

Moving onto the specifications, the LG G7 will rock a 6.1-inch FullVision display with 19:9 aspect ratio, carrying a resolution of 3120 X 1440 pixels. The display will be an MLCD+ and not an OLED panel as seen on the LG V30 to reduce the cost of the smartphone. Besides, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is an expected thing. The chipset will be mated to 4GB of RAM on the standard LG G7 and 64GB of internal storage.

There will be an LG G7+ with increased RAM and storage of 6GB RAM and 128GB, same as the LG V30 and V30+. The poster also states the phone will come with LG ThinQ Mods, details of which are unknown at the moment.

The G7 will have a dual camera setup at the back- two 16MP sensors with the second one being a wide-angle lens. The primary sensor will have a f/1.6 aperture. The device will feature additional features such as IP68 certification, IRIS Scanner (probably one of the reasons for the delay of launch), and HDR10 support. This entire package will be backed by a 3000mAh battery.

LG is also considering to reduce price of the smartphone, which is the reason why the company is going with an LCD panel, not OLED panel.
