HTC has made a decent comeback with the HTC U11 flagship smartphone. The device has the innovative Edge Sense technology, best-rated camera on any smartphone, and high-end hardware. And now, the company is speculated to be working on a mini variant of the U11 called HTC Ocean Life.
Reliable HTC leaker, LlabTooFeR has posted the complete specifications of the device on his Twitter account. The HTC Ocean Life will use the Edge Sense technology, same as the U11. With the Edge Sense, you can squeeze the sides of the phone to perform actions such as opening an application, opening a virtual assistant, etc. And HTC will be adding the same Edge Sense technology to Ocean Life as well.
The device will boast a 5.2-inch Full HD display, layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the phone will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, with an octa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The tipster claims that the device will equip a 16MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity option along with Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. The device will run the HTC Sense 9.0 UI on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. A 2600mAh battery will back the phone.
Furthermore, the leak also says that the phone will come with HTC UltraSonic earphones bundled within the box. With the complete specifications leaked online, the device will be launched in coming days. The phone will also feature a fingerprint scanner and glass body at the back, same as the U11.
However, the leaker did not reveal the pricing of the phone. HTC has priced the U11 sensibly, and we're expecting the same with the HTC Ocean Life as well. Besides HTC, LG and Samsung also said to be working on the mini versions of the LG G6 and Galaxy S8.
