Lenovo is one of the most trusted names in the arena of gadgets. It has been consistently manufacturing some of the finest products. News is that the company has now released a new Android enabled smartphone in the Indian market. This handset has been named Lenovo Vibe X and has been launched at a price of Rs. 26,000. The smartphone will be the company's flagship in India and will be going up against the likes of the Micromax Canvas Turbo and Gionee Elife E6.
Let us have a quick look at some of the chief features and specifications of this smartphone.
Built: The Lenovo Vibe X smartphone is nearly 6.9 mm thick and it weighs about 121 grams. The smartphone is pretty thin and provides a nice grip as well and at the same time , is not on the heavier side of things either.
Display: This smartphone sports a capacitive full HD IPS touch display of 5 inches that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 441 ppi. It comes with curved Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The screen is pretty much right at the top with its competition and the Gorilla Glass 3 protection just adds to the package.
Processor: This device has been equipped with a MediaTek 6589T quad core processor clocked at 1.5 Giga Hertz. This is the same processor that does duty in the Elife 6, Canvas Turbo and the Titanium Vibe X.
Operating System: The Lenovo Vibe X device functions on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. Seeing the fact that its the flagship smartphone from the company, it will surely get a Android 4.3 update in future.
Memory: This smartphone features a RAM of 2 GB and an internal storage space of 16 GB. The handset does not support micro SD card for expandable memory. The smartphone does not feature any expandable storage and that might be an issue for it.
Camera: This device comes loaded with a rear camera of 13 mega pixels with LED flash and auto focus. It also provides a secondary, front facing camera of 5 mega pixels with fixed focus. The camera unit may look good on paper but we highly doubt if it will be any better than the competition.
Connectivity Features: The connectivity options provided by the Lenovo Vibe X are Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G. The connectivity bases are covered pretty well but we would loved it all the more just in case it had NFC as well.
Other Features: This device features FM Radio and also offers light sensor, proximity sensor and gravity sensor along with an E-Compass sensor.
Battery: This smartphone has been equipped with a non removable Li-polymer battery of 2000 mAh capacity.
Our Take: The Lenovo Vibe X smartphone is a good device with amazing features. It will be offering a variety of useful and functional applications and services. Vibe X is likely to create a space for itself in the market. But if you come to think of it, it costs about Rs 5,000 more than the Elife E6 and Rs 8,000 more than the Canvas Turbo. Would you go in for it?
