As promised at the launch event of Lenovo K8 Plus earlier this month, Lenovo has made the smaller Lenovo K8 smartphone official in the Indian market. At the launch event of K8 Plus, Lenovo did not reveal the price of the Lenovo K8, but today, the brand unveiled the price as Rs. 10,499.

Unlike the Lenovo K8 Note and K8 Plus, the Lenovo K8 will be exclusive to offline market and comes in two colour options- Venom Black and Fine Gold. Lenovo did reveal the specs at the K8 Plus launch event itself. Being an offline-only model, the device won't offer specs as good as its siblings.

The Lenovo K8 comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. Like the other two K8 smartphones, the Lenovo K8 also comes with the unimetal body, and has a fingerprint scanner at the back, within reach of your index finger.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, which is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz. The chipset is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be increased up to 128GB with a microSD card.

The Lenovo K8 comes with all the Lenovo's proprietary features such as TheaterMax and Dolby Atmos audio technology. This dual SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and it's pure stock Android with subtle customisations here and there.

The smartphone also has a massive 4000mAh battery with a 10W fast charger. The phone measures 8.55 mm in thickness and weighs 165grams. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB OTG.

Optics wise, the Lenovo K8 rocks a single 13MP camera at the back with PDAF and LED flash support. Up front, the phone has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. It' sad to see Lenovo did not include dual camera setup in the Lenovo K8 because the other two smartphones- Lenovo K8 Note, K8 Plus has dual camera support.
