Domestic brand, Lava, today expanded its flagship Z lineup by launching four smartphones- Lava Z60, Z70, Z80, and Z90. The highlight of these four smartphones is they come under the company’s recent ‘Ultimate Money Back Challenge,’ scheme, under which Lava is offering close to 90% money back within 30 days.
Lava has placed each smartphone into a different price segment. The Lava Z60 costs Rs. 5,500, whereas the Lava Z70 is priced at Rs. 8,000, the Lava Z80 will cost Rs. 9,000, and lastly, the Lava Z90 will be available for Rs. 10,750. Lava earlier this year launched two smartphones under its Z series- the Lava Z10 and Lava Z25.
Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Nigam, Product Head, Lava International said, “With these smartphones, we have been able to pack premium features with product reliability to provide our customers with a very high product experience. Also, through the Money Back Challenge, we wish to provide confidence to our customers about the quality, reliability and experience of Lava phones.”
Let’ speak about the specifications of the four smartphones:
Let’s begin with the affordable smartphone of the four. The Lava Z60 offers a 5-inch FWVGA display and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core chipset. The SoC is mated with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device includes 5MP cameras on front and rear. The smartphone boots Lava’s Star OS 4.1 on top of Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
Next up in the list is the Lava Z70 smartphone, which competes with the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and 10.or E smartphones. This smartphone from Lava offers a 5-inch HD display and is fuelled by the 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The Lava Z70 boots Android Nougat based Star OS 4.1, which is a good thing. The Z70 packs an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The device is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
Speaking about the third smartphone in the list, the Lava Z80 feature similar specifications as the Lava Z70, but offers more RAM and a fingerprint scanner. It has the same 5-inch HD display and is powered by the same 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset.
However, Lava has added 3GB of RAM module in the Z80, which is accompanied with 16GB of internal storage. This dual-SIM Lava smartphone also packs an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It also boots Android Nougat based Star OS 4.1 out of the box. And as said earlier, there’s a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone.
Last in the list is the premium Lava Z90 smartphone, which is also Lava’s first dual camera smartphone. The Z90 has a primary 8MP rear sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor which adds depth in the images. Lava also added an 8MP selfie camera with LED flash support in the smartphone.
Other specifications of the device include a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, Android Nougat, and a slightly bigger 2750mAh battery. The Lava Z90 also accepts two SIM cards.
