Jio, the upcoming 4G operator, has taken another step to further bolster its app offerings with the beta launch of 'Jio Media Share' app, a new app that allows users to share or stream music, videos, photos, documents to any smart device in the home. The new 'Jio Media Share' app is the new inclusion to Jio's app portfolio. The 4G entrant a number of apps like Jio Beat's, Jio-On Demand, Jio Play, Jio Security, Jio Chat and Jio Money that offer various content related services.

The 'Jio Media Share' app will also allow a Jio user to share content from YouTube videos to TV or any smart devices. It has also added Facebook integration, which allows users to screen/cast their pictures on other devices. For office needs, Jio has added Dropbox support so that one can check the files or documents on other devices or share the files when being in a single connected network between different devices.

'JIO Media Share gives you an easy way to share your media content—photos, music, videos, and documents—with friends and family. You can share personal videos, pictures and more with your own electronics device to the other devices which are connected to the same network,” the app description reads in the Google Play Store (the app is just available to Jio users).

While, the app is still in beta version, we can expect developers behind the app to add some more exciting features before its first official version. The app clearly shows Jio's strategy to connect Indians through a high-speed network and smart devices in a digital powered home. Jio is also working on cloud-based platform for offering remote access of contents to its users.

With this entire digital ecosystem strategy, Jio is certainly more than just a telecom operator. It should rather be considered as a digital services provider. Let us know your thoughts through comments.
