Itel A44 Power Launched in India With 4000mAh Battery, VoLTE and ViLTE at Rs 5,999

Itel is back. The company is mostly committed to launching entry-level phones targeting consumers who can’t afford expensive smartphones from Samsung, Xiaomi and others. Itel, on Monday, launched a new A series phone in India called the A44 Power. As goes for a lot of Itel phones, the biggest highlight of the Itel A44 Power is its battery setup. The smartphone comes with a massive 4000mAh battery. Itel has launched the A44 Power in India for a price tag of Rs 5,999, which goes against phones like Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

Interestingly, even though the A44 Power is an entry-level phone, it packs a dual rear camera setup, 18:9 display and also Face Unlock feature to let the user unlock the phone just by looking at the phone screen. The itel A44 Power runs the Go edition of Android 8.1 Oreo, software that is optimised to power the entry-level phones.

Itel A44 Power: Specifications and Features

The Itel A44 Power comes with some great features for an entry-level phone. The smartphone comes packed with a 5.45-inch FWGA+ display with a resolution of 480x960 pixels paired with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the hardware front, the Itel A44 Power is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at up to 1.4GHz. The phone comes in only one configuration with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Commenting on the launch of the Itel A44 Power Goldee Patnaik, who’s the Head of Marketing itel Business Unit said, "Itel A44 Power brings with it the powerful 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery for our target audience along with 5.45-inch FWVGA+ 'Full Screen' Display and dual rear cameras at a budget-friendly price point."

As mentioned, the Itel A44 Power runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and packs dual-SIM support. The back camera setup is also one of the key highlights of the Itel A44 Power. On the rear panel, the Itel A44 Power comes with a primary camera of 5MP paired with a secondary VGA (0.3MP) camera. On the front, the Itel A44 Power includes a 2MP camera paired with a flash for better selfie camera in low-light situations.

On the connectivity front, the Itel phone comes with several options like 4G VoLTE and ViLTE. The phone, as already noted, is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to three days of battery backup on a single charge. The phone also supports 'OTG Power Bank' functionality that basically lets the A44 Power the ability to charge other phones.

Itel A44 Power: Pricing and Availability in India

As goes for any other Itel phones, the A44 Power is also launched for a price tag of Rs 5,999. The smartphone will be available for buying across India starting November 19, the company has announced. The Itel phone comes in three colour options including Aqua Blue, Champagne Gold, and Deep Grey.
