Intex launches Android 4.4 powered iRist smartwatch for Rs. 11,999

Intex has finally come up with its first wearable, the company unveiled its first smartwatch, iRist at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Shanghai. The smartwatch supports dual-SIM connectivity with features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. It features a 1.56-inch OLED display with 240 x 240 pixels resolution with Sapphire glass protection and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with support for Google Play Store. As it runs Android 4.4 KitKat instead of Android Wear, we can expect it to deliver a better battery output.

Intex iRist smartwatchThe iRist smartwatch is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB). The watch enables users to make and receive calls and messages and it also sports a 5-megapixel camera on the right side of the watch with support for 720p HD video recording.




Intex iRist smartwatchThe smartwatch is certified with IP65 rating, which makes it water and dust proof. Also, the watch also features Pedometer that counts user’s steps as they walk. It is backed by a 600mAh battery, which is touted by Intex to deliver up to 240 minutes talk time. It will be viable in Pink, Orange and Black colors, for a price of Rs. 11,999 and will go on sale from the first week of August exclusively through eBay India. Interestingly, the smartwatch comes bundled with a Bluetooth headset too.
