Innelo 1 Smartphone With Display Notch and Dual 4G Support Goes Official at Rs 7,499

Innelo, the sub-brand of iVoomi has launched its first smartphone, namely, the Innelo 1. Founded back last month, Innelo aims to bring ‘Innovation for Everyone' and the Innelo 1 is a first step towards the same. The Innelo 1 is the cheapest smartphone in India to sport a notched display. Priced at Rs 7,499, it's an Amazon exclusive smartphone and will be available for purchase starting September 18, 2018. Apart from the notched display, the Innelo 1 has Dual 4G support thanks to the usage of MediaTek MTK6737H chipset, Face Unlock and Fingerprint scanner which is placed on the rear side. For the asking price, the device takes on the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 6, Redmi 5 and the Realme 2.

Innelo 1: Specifications and Features

Diving into the specifications of the Innelo 1, the phone has a 5.86-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, the Innelo 1 has the MediaTek MTK6737H chipset, which is a quad-core chipset with all the four cores clocked at 1.3GHz. The chipset is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB.

Innelo 1 has been designed exquisitely with leading-edge technology that fits the expectations of the urban and young consumers. It provides a complete high-end smartphone experience to the users.”

Cameras on the handset include a 13MP Samsung sensor on the rear side with a 5P lens and LED flash. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera with 1.4µm pixel size & 4P lens. As for the connectivity options, it has support for Dual 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India), VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Micro USB port. The phone weighs 155 grams and runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with SmartMe OS 3.0 on top. The biggest highlight of the Innelo 1 is the notched display.

Innelo 1: Pricing and Availability

The iVoomi sub-brand confirmed that the Innelo 1 would be assembled and packaged in India. Innelo will make use of iVoomi's after sales chain to provide service to its users. For the unknown, iVoomi has over 500 service centres spread across the country.

Coming to the pricing, the Innelo 1 comes in a single variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, priced at Rs 7,499. It comes in Persian Red, Pacific Blue, Platinum Gold and Midnight Black colour options.

Innelo 1: Competitors in India

Going by the price of Rs 7,499, the Innelo 1 goes against the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 6, which sports the much powerful MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage at a price of Rs 7,999. The Redmi 6 lacks a notch on the front, but it does offer an 18:9 display.
