At Rs 7,999, the Infinix S5 Lite even comes with decent specs on board such as MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and a 4000mAh battery backs the entire package. Similar to the other smartphones from Infinix, the S5 Lite is also a Flipkart Exclusive smartphone and it will be available for purchase from November 22. Infinix has launched the smartphone in three colour options and it comes in only one variant.

Infinix S5 Lite: Specifications and Features

Infinix has been launching some decent smartphones in recent times. The Transsion Holdings-owned brand is currently offering the cheapest smartphone in India with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage at Rs 6,999 (Infinix Hot 8). The Infinix S5 Lite offers a punch-hole display at just Rs 7,999 and it's an example of what we can expect from under Rs 10,000 smartphones in 2020.

As for specifications of the Infinix S5 Lite, the phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.5% of screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset which we earlier saw on the likes of Infinix Hot 8, Realme C2 and the Xiaomi Redmi 6 which is now a two-generations old smartphone. The phone comes in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Infinix even managed to add a microSD card slot to allow storage expansion up to 256GB.

The Infinix S5 Lite has a triple camera setup on the rear side comprising of a 16MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and an unspecified low-light sensor to capture light in low-light scenarios. On the front side, Infinix has added a 16MP shooter that helps in attending video calls and capturing selfies.

The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC has Dual 4G VoLTE support and other connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and FM Radio. The phone has a Micro USB port on the bottom and it's backed by a 4000mAh battery. The handset measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 178 grams.

Infinix S5 Lite vs Xiaomi Redmi 8: Which is Better at Rs 7,999

The Infinix S5 Lite takes on the Xiaomi Redmi 8, which is also priced at Rs 7,999 in the Indian market. The Redmi 8 also has an HD+ display, but it lacks the punch-hole design. The Xiaomi phone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC and it even provides 4GB of RAM & 64GB of internal storage. Similar to the Infinix S5 Lite, the Redmi 8 also ships with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Redmi 8 features a 12MP+5MP camera setup on the back and an 8MP shooter is present on the front. The highlight of the Redmi 8 is the 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and USB Type-C port.
