After launching the affordable triple camera smartphone, the Infinix S4, Transsion Holdings backed Infinix today unveiled the affordable 6GB RAM smartphone, dubbed, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro. Priced at Rs 9,999, the Hot 7 Pro comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. Also, the Hot 7 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery, which is another highlight of the phone. The Infinix Hot 7 Pro also offers four cameras- two on the front and two on the rear side. The handset will be exclusively sold via Flipkart in India and it will be available for Rs 8,999 until June 21.
Infinix Hot 7 Pro: Specifications and Features
The Hot 7 Pro sports a 6.19-inch HD+ display on the front with a resolution of 720x1500 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass on top. "With Hot7Pro, we have achieved the perfect balance between making a phone truly feature-rich and oriented for the young user without compromising on the price aspect," Anish Kapoor, CEO, Infinix India, said in a statement.
Underneath, it has the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and comes in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There's a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 9 Pie-based XOS 5.0 out of the box with the company's own customisations on top.
Cameras on the Hot 7 Pro include a 13MP primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture which works in tandem with a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the phone has a 13MP primary shooter which also works with a 2MP depth sensor. So the Hot 7 Pro is a quad camera phone. The camera app comes loaded with a slew of AI modes such as AI Portrait mode, AI Beauty mode and so on. Lastly, the Hot 7 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh which is said to last two days on a single charge.
Infinix Hot 7 Pro: Pricing and Availability in India
The company has announced a launch offer under which the device would be available for Rs 8,999 from June 17-21. After this offer, the Hot 7 Pro can be purchased for Rs 9,999 in the country and it comes in a single variant. The phone would be available on Flipkart in midnight black and aqua blue colours starting today.
As for the competition, it takes on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S which is priced at Rs 10,999 in the sub-continent. The Note 7S offers a Full HD+ display, Dot Notch, Gradient design, 48MP rear camera, powerful Snapdragon 660 SoC and runs MIUI 10 out of the box. But it lacks quad cameras like the Hot 7 Pro.
