India Telecom 2009 kicks off from December 3India Telecom 2009 an international exhibition and conference on telecom sector, will be conducted from December 3-5 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The trade show is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The event will provide a platform for interaction with policy makers, technology providers, R&D institutions, investors, users and academia, according to information posted on ‘India Telecom 2009’ website.




The exhibitor profile includes service providers, application service providers (ASP), network infrastructure manufacturers, handset makers, content providers and accessory manufacturers among others.
The conference has sessions on rural telecom, India as a manufacturing hub for telecom equipment, open house with DoT, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and Department of Information Technology among others.

Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Dr.Manmohan Singh, Minister for Communications and Information Technology A Raja, Ministers of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot and Gurudas Kamat are expected to be present.
