Idea Cellular revises 3G and 2G data packs in Kerala, offers more data to customers

Idea Cellular, the country’s third largest telecom operator by subscribers, has revised its 3G and 2G data packs rate to offer more benefits to consumers in the Kerala circle. The revised packs with extra data benefits are aimed at retaining existing users in the circle.

The Rs 46 pack 3G data pack now offers 150 MB data usage and comes with 28 days validity, as compared to 120 MB. The Rs 69 3G data pack now offers minimum 280 MB and maximum 1 GB of data for 15 days, as compared to just 280 MB for 7 days.

The Rs 249 3G pack now gives 1.5 GB data usage, as compared to 1 GB data usage, for 2­8 days. The Rs 449 pack now gives 3.5 GB data usage, as compared to 3 GB data usage, for 2­8 days. Similarly, the Rs 649 pack now gives 5.5 GB­ instead of 5GB data for 2­8 days.

The Rs 849 data pack, on other hand, now offers 7.5 GB data instead of 7GB for 2­8 days. The telco has also made a change in its Rs 36 2G data pack. The pack now offers 180 MB 2G data as compared to 120 MB data for 28 days.

Earlier, the Aditya Birla Group company had revised its data offers for high-end data users, and is now offering 250% more data. Idea Cellular customers can now get 15 GB of free data against the upfront fee of Rs 1498 where earlier it was 6 GB data.

The company has also increased its freebies on Rs 748 and Rs 496 pack where customers can get data benefits at a cheaper rate in comparison to current market rates.

The telco has also started offering long validity data packs for postpaid customers. The Rs 500 pack offers 2 GB instant data valid for 30 days. The subscribers can then avail 1 GB data at recharge of Rs 125. The total validity of the offer is 6 months.
