Idea Cellular Finally Updates its Nirvana Postpaid Plans, Now Offering Double Data at Same Prices

At last, Idea Cellular has revised its Nirvana range of postpaid plans to compete with Airtel and Vodafone India, which already revised its postpaid plans a couple of months ago. After today’s revision, Idea Cellular now has just four Nirvana postpaid plans of Rs 399, Rs 499, Rs 999 and Rs 1,299. Earlier, the telco used to offer a total of seven Nirvana plans, but now, the Rs 1,599, Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,999 postpaid plans have been removed by the company. It’ll be interesting to see if the removed plans come back in the future. Maybe, Idea Cellular removed those plans because of poor demand from the customers. However, according to the information we received, Idea will bring back the premium Rs 2,999 plan shortly, but there won’t be any changes to the benefits though.

Idea Cellular Rs 399 Nirvana Plan Benefits

Starting with the Rs 399 Nirvana Plan, it’s Idea’s cheapest plan right now. Earlier, Idea Cellular offered a Rs 389 plan, however, the same plan has now been bumped to Rs 399 with improved data benefit. Moving onto the benefits offered by the new Rs 399 Nirvana plan, users will get a total of 40GB 2G/3G/4G data, unlimited voice calls valid within India without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day which works even on roaming. Do make a note that users will be able to carry forward a total of 200GB with this Rs 399 Nirvana plan. To recall, the Rs 389 postpaid plan offered 20GB of data every month with the same 200GB carry forward feature.

Idea Cellular Rs 499 Nirvana Plan Benefits

Next on the list, we have the Rs 499 Nirvana Plan which now gives a total of 75GB, up from the earlier 40GB data benefit. The plan also offers unlimited local, STD and national roaming voice calling and 100 SMS per day which even work on roaming. Same as the Rs 399 plan, a user can accumulate up to a maximum of 200GB with the data carry forward feature.

Idea Cellular Rs 999 Nirvana Plan Benefits

Moving on, we have the Rs 999 Nirvana Plan, which also offers better benefits than earlier. A user will now get 100GB of data with this Rs 999 Nirvana plan with a carry forward option of up to 200GB. Alongside, Idea is also providing free unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per rental with this plan.

Idea Cellular Rs 1,299 Nirvana Plan Benefits

Lastly, we have the Rs 1,299 Nirvana Plan offering a total of 125GB data benefit every rental with the data carry forward option of up to 200GB. Users will also be able to enjoy unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day during the rental period. The Rs 1,299 Nirvana plan also provides a user free 100 minutes of international calling to the USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand on specific codes. The other three Nirvana plans will not offer free international roaming benefit.

Idea Also Offers Idea Phone Secure, Idea Select Membership to the Users

Not only the calling, data and SMS benefits, Idea Nirvana plans offer much more. Firstly, Idea is providing Idea Phone Secure subscription to users with Rs 499 postpaid plan or above. With Idea Phone Secure, the telco is providing anti-theft, antivirus & damage protection for your device and much more security features. Idea Cellular users will receive four months of free Idea Phone Secure subscription.

Coming to the Idea Select Membership, it’s a priority access membership that will be provided at Idea Stores and call centres. Users will also get exclusive deals and promotions on My Idea app. Idea Select Membership will be available for free subscription on plan rentals above Rs 499.

Idea Postpaid Users Will Get Free Subscription of Idea’s Digital Content Services

For those who’re unaware, Idea Cellular is also into the content game with services such as Idea Movies & TV and Idea Music. All the Nirvana postpaid users will get free 12 months of Idea Movies & TV and Idea Music membership. And the company will also offer free Magazines on My Idea application.

Rs. 300 activation charges are on SPECIFIC PROMOTIONAL PLANS. Usually such plans come with rental discount and/or freebies in terms of data from Airtel.

Rs. 300 is charged because Airtel is actually taking a cut of this 300 from the employee’s monthly salary.

You can decline to take PROMO plan and go for REGULAR plan as shown in Airtel website and no activation charges will be taken from you.
