Idea Cellular has announced new plans for the new users who are looking to join the network in Himachal Pradesh circle. The new plans are on par with Reliance Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. The company is already offering these plans in some other circles.
The two new plans are FRC 297 and FRC 447. Under the FRC 297 plan, Idea would be giving 1GB data per day along with unlimited Idea to Idea voice calls for 70 days. And the FRC 445 plan provides the same 1GB data per day, unlimited Idea to Idea calls and 3000 minutes of Idea to another network valid for 84 days.
However, the data benefit will differ with the handset. For example, the benefits mentioned above will be applicable for a 4G handset and for a non-4G handset user, the FRC 297 plan gives 2GB data for 35 days, and the FRC 447 plan offers 2GB data for 84 days. So, this offer will be extremely useful for users with a 4G handset.
The company is offering the same plans in other circles as well. Idea Cellular recently became the country's third pan-India mobile broadband operator after rolling out 4G services in Mumbai. Currently, Idea is offering 4G services in 20 telecom circles of India, except Kolkata and New Delhi, where users are still using 3G services.
These new plans of Idea are aimed at Reliance Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, which also offers similar benefits, But the new entrant's pricing is slightly lower than Idea's. The Mukesh Ambani-led company is offering 1GB data per day and unlimited calling to any network for the new user at Rs. 408, and it comes with a validity of 84 days. The other plan of Rs. 608 gives 2GB data per day and unlimited calling to any network for 84 days.
