Chinese brand, Honor has announced a new smartphone in its homeland China. As it teased since the start of this month, Honor has unveiled the mid-range Honor 7X smartphone in China and looking at the spec-sheet, the Honor 7X boasts similar specs as the Honor 9i, which recently launched in India.

Diving into the specifications of the Honor 7X, it comes with a 5.93-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and other four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The chipset is paired with MaliT830-MP2 GPU which takes care of the graphics.
Mated to the chipset is 4GB of RAM module and the phone comes in three storage variants- 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Also, there’s a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. However, it’s a hybrid card setup, which means you can either use a microSD card or a secondary SIM card.
This Honor smartphone also runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top. There’s a fingerprint scanner present at the back side of the phone, and the device weighs 165grams. Connectivity options in the Honor 7X include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS & GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. This entire package is backed by a 3340mAh battery.

Coming to the cameras, unlike the Honor 9i which features four cameras (two at the front & two at the back), the Honor 7X has three cameras (two at the back & one at the front). A 16MP sensor paired with a 2MP sensor is present at the rear with the former capturing RGB shots and the latter adds depth to the images. Also, the phone comes with an 8MP front-facing camera, unlike the 13MP+2MP setup seen on the Honor 9i.
