The Honor 9i is priced very aggressively to take on the likes of Xiaomi Mi A1 and Motorola Moto G5S Plus. Honor says that the Honor 9i is the world's first smartphone to boast an 18:9 display and four cameras. Yes, you heard it right. The Honor 9i offers you dual cameras at the back and dual cameras at the front.

As said earlier, the USP of the device is the cameras. The Honor 9i rocks two 13MP sensors at the front, with one capturing selfies and the other one adds depth to the images. The smartphone has dual 16MP sensors at the rear with one capturing RGB shots and the other one adds depth to the images. Honor has also added a mode where you can edit the depth in the image even after capturing.

Another highlight of the Honor 9i is the Full View display at the front. The Honor 9i has a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and carries a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Honor says that the Honor 9i has a screen-to-body ratio of 83%.

Hardware wise, the Honor 9i is fuelled by Huawei's in-house octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, which is mated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Honor 9i will be available in three colour options- Graphite Black, Prestige Gold and Aurora Blue.

The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.1 and is backed by a 3340mAh battery. As per Honor, the Honor 9i will deliver seven hours with continuous gaming. Honor has added few more tricks in the software to take advantage of the Full View display.

Honor MediaPad T3 and Honor MediaPad T3 10 Also Announced
At the same event, Honor also announced two budget tablets in India, namely, the Honor MediaPad T3 and Honor MediaPad T3 10. Both the tablets support 4G VoLTE and run Android Nougat out of the box. The MediaPad T3 will retail for Rs. 12,999, and the MediaPad T3 10 will cost Rs. 14,999. Same as the Honor 9i, these two tablets will also be sold exclusively on Flipkart.
