Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth Boasting Entry-Level Hardware Goes Official

Huawei is not looking to stop anytime soon as the company has added yet another smartphone, the Enjoy 8e Youth to its popular Enjoy 8 lineup. The smartphone joins the Huawei Enjoy 8 range of devices- Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 8 and Enjoy 8e. That said, the newly introduced Enjoy 8e Youth is the lower variant of all the four. The pricing of the smartphone is set as 799 Yuan (approx. Rs 8,400), and it boasts entry-level hardware on board. This device will be available only in China at the moment. Huawei did launch its Enjoy 8 range of smartphones in other markets, but there's no info on when it's going to bring the Enjoy 8e Youth outside of China.

Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth Specifications and Features
Despite sporting metal body, the Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth weighs 142 grams and measures 8.3mm in thickness. Also, it's one of the cheapest Huawei devices to sport an 18:9 display. The Enjoy 8e Youth flaunts a 5.45-inch display, carrying a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. There's no mentioning from Huawei on whether the display has any protection or not. The phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset, clubbed with 2GB of RAM an 32GB of internal storage.

Huawei launched only one variant of the device, and the best part is it comes with 32GB of storage. Furthermore, for users looking to expand the storage, there's a microSD card slot which can handle up to 256GB of SD cards. It's a dedicated card slot and not a hybrid card slot. Graphics in the device will be taken care by PowerVR GE8100 GPU.

Huawei has gone with a single 5MP front-facing camera on the Enjoy 8e Youth. A 13MP camera unit is present at the back. Both the cameras will be accompanied by an LED flash. The rear camera has support for PDAF as well, while there's no mentioning on the same for the front-facing camera.

Connectivity options in the device include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The smartphone draws power from a 3020mAh battery, and it boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. The device has a micro USB port at the bottom. Currently, Huawei is taking pre-registrations for the device; The sales will begin on June 1.
