HTC Flounder/Volantis specifications leak again, verified by South Korean certification authority

The forthcoming HTC Nexus 8 tablet has come under the rumour scanner again. The rising Twitter leakster @UpLeaks has shared some of its key specifications. This Android tablet has been named as Volantis and Flounder before but it is now being called by @UpLeaks as the ‘HTC T1’. It also appears to be done with certification process in South Korea. The Nexus 8 can be expected to launch some time in the fall, accompanying the release of Android L.




In terms of specifications, the HTC T1 will be one the first tablets to feature a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, 4GB of RAM and Android L. There will be a cellular model as well, loaded with Qualcomm-made LTE modem. In the Camera segment, HTC T1 is expected to have an 8MP camera with a Sony IMX219 image sensor and a 1.6MP front-snapper. Its 8.9-inch screen will have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
