HTC has reported $1.4 billion in revenue with net profit of $19.7 million for Q2 FY 2014. The company reported that HTC One (M8)'s momentum continued in this quarter from Q2 2014, despite stiff competition.
It also mentioned that the Desire 610 and the Desire 510 experienced good demand, selling well in both the US and Europe. It has, however, not disclosed the sales figure for both the devices. Similarly, the company mentioned that the Desire 816 maintained solid sales throughout Taiwan, China, India and the Middle East.
During this quarter, the company launched HTC M8 Eye, HTC Desire Eye, EYE Experience camera features, Zoe (a collaborative, social video-editing application) and the RE action camera.
While the company seems to be recovering from its poor performance, it needs to be seen whether it can continue to improve the profit. The new product launches should definitely help, especially the offerings like the HTC Desire 820 which comes with an 64-bit octa-core processor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
