HTC is trying to strengthen its mid-range smartphone lineup by launching a few more devices at the MWC this year. The HTC Desire 626 has just been leaked by the popular leakster @Upleaks.
The handset will comes with a 5-inch HD display, a 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and 2,000 mAh battery. One variant of the device will be equipped with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Taking charge of the imaging department will be a 13-megapixel camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense UI on top of it, but it might be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop soon after the official launch.
HTC is believed to focus on its Desire range of mid-range smartphones at the MWC 2015, but that doesn't mean that it will be ignoring the flagship. The HTC One M9, which has been codenamed Hima, is expected to break cover at HTC's event during the MWC. HTC has finally started making profits after facing losses for a long time, and it would surely be hoping for more success in the future with the launch of the One M9 and new Desire smartphones.
