After announcing the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P at the Google Nexus 2015 event today, the company also pulled off a surprise. Google announced a brand new tablet that is not a part of its Nexus lineup of mobile devices. Instead, as the name suggest, the Google Pixel C is placed in the Pixel lineup of devices which are wholly designed and sold by the search giant.

- Android 6.0 Lollipop
- Nvidia Tegra X1 processor, 64-bit quad-core CPU, Maxwell GPU
- 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, no microSD card slot
- Detachable magnetically-aligned keyboard

The Google Pixel C features a 10.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 302 ppi, and the company claims that it has a brightness of 500 nits. The device will come pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, similar to the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P. It is powered by the ultra-powerful Nvidia Tegra X1 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage space, and a detachable keyboard cover. Google said that the letter ‘C’ in the device’s name stands for convertible, and that they are targeting productivity-oriented consumers with the Pixel C.
