Gionee launches Pioneer P2M with 3000mAh battery, for Rs. 6,999

Gionee has unveiled yet another smartphone in its Pioneer series, the new device is known as Pioneer P2M, and it is a successor to Pioneer P2S, which was launched in India last year.

8A5AABD8-FFA0-4D9D-BCD0-BC2768F2CDDCThe dual-SIM device comes with a 4-inch WVGA display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee’s in-house Amigo 3.0 UI on top. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera accompanied by an LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front camera. The Pioneer P2M is backed by features 16GB of internal storage on-board, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and is backed by a 3,000mAh of battery.

Gionee Pioneer P2M will be available in Bold Black, Pristine White, and Stylish Gold colors, for a price of Rs. 6,999.

At the launch, Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, “Battery still remains a huge concern for the smartphone users especially in the sub 10K category in India, and to bring a revolutionary change to the user experience, we are excited to announce our latest offering the P2M. The Pioneer P2M is one of its kind in India with a massive power backup over 3000 mAh. With Gionee’s innovation and power driven technology, the Pioneer P2M will ensure long lasting communication and a better experience for the consumers,” he said.
