Gionee is all set to unveil its flagship smartphone, the Elife E8 in India on October 8th. The company has already rolled out press invites for the launch event, which will be held in New Delhi. The invite reads,“block your date for some gr8 news.”
The Gionee Elife E8 was first launched in China at a price of 3999 RMB (approx. Rs 41,000). At the event, the company is also expected to make some big announcements regarding its debut in the Indian e-commerce market. The smartphone features a 6-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop Gionee’s in-house Amigo UI 3.1 on top.
The phone features a fingerprint sensor, and a 23.7-megapixel primary camera with OIS, dual tone LED Flash, along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It has 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, NFC, and is backed by a 3,520 mAh battery.
