S TEL whose mobile service licenses has been canceled by the Supreme Court last week, has now openly asked its customers to Port Out from its Network using Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
In a statement posted in its official portal it says “as our most valued subscribers, we would also like to inform that if you may so deem fit, you may opt for exercising the mobile number portability option available with you and our customer care service shall render all necessary support in this regard”.
This comes at a time when Batelco decided to sell its entire stake from STEL.STel currently holds its licenses in Bihar, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh Assam, North-East and in Jammu and Kashmir and the company is estimated to have a subscriber base of over 3.6 million and also license to offer 3G services.
So is this and END OF STEL ? Do share your views via comments and if you are a STEL customer visit the nearest STEL office and get your port out code.
