Eutelsat Group and Bayobab, a subsidiary of MTN Group, have signed a multi-year agreement for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) capacity on Eutelsat's OneWeb constellation. This partnership aims to expand connectivity for enterprises, cellular backhaul, and rural coverage, enhancing network performance and customer experience across the continent, the joint statement said.

OneWeb's LEO Satellites for Connectivity
Bayobab said it will leverage OneWeb's LEO satellites to deliver high-quality, low-latency fixed connectivity services across the continent. The rollout is expected to be completed by December 2024, with services already live in four African countries.
