Bharti Airtel provides broadband services to customers through its Airtel Xstream Fiber service offerings. Airtel Xstream Fiber and Airtel Xstream AirFiber
For those who may not be aware, Airtel provides high-speed internet services through both wired - Airtel Xstream Fiber - and wireless modes - Xstream AirFiber. Airtel Xstream AirFiber is India's first wireless home internet, powered by Airtel 5G Plus. Airtel Xstream AirFiber is the company's Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service.
Expansion and Availability
Coming to the availability of services, Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bharti Airtel, highlighted during the First Quarter Ended June 30, 2023 Earnings Conference Call that Airtel Broadband has continued its momentum with approximately 413,000 net additions. Airtel Xstream Fiber is now present in 1,225 cities, up from 983 cities the previous year.
Concerning Airtel Xstream AirFiber, the service is currently available in Delhi and Mumbai, the two metropolitan cities, as previously reported by TelecomTalk.

Sales Force and Convergence Portfolio
Airtel emphasized that it has placed intense focus on enhancing the productivity of its sales force, resulting in a notable improvement of nearly 20 percent through a combination of digitization and efficient execution. Airtel also underscored its increased emphasis on bolstering its convergence portfolio (the bundling of Airtel services into packages), which not only provides Airtel with an increase in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), but also contributes to greater customer retention.
Targeting Key Cities
Airtel stated that within the top 150 cities - comprising over 80 percent of postpaid and broadband households, as well as the entire B2B opportunity - Airtel is strategically targeting high-quality customer opportunities. According to Gopal Vittal, Airtel's objective is to win in these cities by bringing the full power of the Airtel Network and its channels, all fueled by digital tools.
Home Opportunities
Gopal expressed his perspective of viewing homes within the 150 cities as opportunities, and the rollouts continue. During the earnings webinar, it was disclosed that Airtel has already passed 25.6 million homes, with the rollout of fibre being a central focus according to Airtel's one-Airtel transport planning approach.

Airtel offers its broadband service, Airtel Xstream Fiber, either as a standalone service or as part of a bundled package uder Airtel Black Offering. Airtel Black is a comprehensive service provided by Airtel that integrates mobile, DTH, and fiber services into a single plan, enabling families and friends to access various services from Airtel seamlessly.
