Asian datacenter operator CtrlS Datacenters has acquired a new land parcel in Patna's Pataliputra Industrial Area through the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) for its upcoming Greenfield Edge Datacenter. The site, located 300 meters from the existing Patna DC1 facility, will host a new datacenter with a 10 MW IT load capacity and approximately 1,000 racks. CtrlS Datacenters plans to invest approximately Rs 400 crore in this new datacenter.

Impact on Employment and Investment
Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, commented on the acquisition: "We are committed to developing a robust IT ecosystem in Bihar through our future-ready datacenters, serving hyperscalers, enterprises, and startups."

In response to the market's demonstrated potential, CtrlS Datacenters is establishing this greenfield datacenter in Patna, for which we have now secured the land," he added.

CtrlS Presence in India
The company said this new facility in Patna will bolster its presence in the digital hub of eastern India, supporting the digital transformation of enterprises and hyperscalers. CtrlS has already developed Edge datacenters in Lucknow and Patna, complementing its network of 13 datacenters across Mumbai, Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
Future Expansion Plans
Looking ahead, CtrlS Datacenters plans to establish over 20 Edge datacenters in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across India in the coming years.
