Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is the latest smartphone to launch in India from the Chinese smartphone brand. The Cool 3 Plus is priced at Rs 5,999 and it ships with features like 3000mAh battery, MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, Dual 4G, single 13MP rear camera, teardrop notch display and a fingerprint scanner. We haven't seen many phones under Rs 6,000 offering fingerprint scanner, so it's a good thing that Coolpad included this feature on the Cool 3 Plus. The phone comes in two variants- one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and the other one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage; The premium variant of the Cool 3 Plus is priced at Rs 6,499 and the phone will be exclusive to Amazon in the country.
Coolpad Cool 3 Plus: Specifications and Features
The Cool 3 Plus comes in four colour options- Red, Green, Blue and Black. The phone boasts of a 5.71-inch HD+ display carrying a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There's a teardrop notch on top of the display and Coolpad also added a 2.5D curved glass on top.
Under the hood, the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of onboard storage. There's a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side. We've seen the Helio A22 in other phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 6A in the past and it's a decent performer in the asking range. Connectivity options include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port.
As for the cameras, the company has added a single 13MP shooter on the back, and on the front, we get to see an 8MP shooter. The device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and it's backed by a 3000mAh battery.
In India, the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus takes on the Xiaomi Redmi 6A which sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display, Helio A22 chipset, Dual 4G, single rear and front cameras and a 3000mAh battery. The Redmi 6A's base variant is priced at Rs 5,999 same as the price of Cool 3 Plus.

Coolpad has launched the Cool 3 Plus in four different colours in India. All four colour variants will be exclusive to Amazon India. The phone ships in two variants with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, and 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The price of the 2GB+16GB variant is kept as Rs 5,999, while the 3GB+32GB variant can be purchased for Rs 6,499. The prices are decent, but it'll be interesting to see how Coolpad markets it in India.
